![]() Instruments are rendered faithfully, there is a good sense of scale, and dynamics are impressive. Sonically, as we have come to expect from Dali, we are treated to a clean, precise and detailed sound. These are active speakers, though, so each unit here is fed by a dedicated 50W Class D amplifier. The speakers are largely unchanged from the passive Oberon 1, which are small and nicely made, with a mahogany coloured 13cm wood fibre mid/bass cone that is used in conjunction with Dali’s Soft Magnet Compound (SMC) technology and sits below the 29mm soft-dome tweeter in the familiar Dali arrangement. If you want multi-room, courtesy of BluOS and DLNA playback, you will need to pay a small premium for the original, and larger, Sound Hub. The Oberon C active speakers ship with Dali's Sound Hub Compact which gives you access to aptX HD Bluetooth for wireless streaming, an HDMI ARC socket for connecting to your TV/AV system, plus RCA and subwoofer connections. That doesn't mean they are not well put together, rather that you can have them pretty much any which way you like (in terms of stereo speakers, at least). The Dali Oberon 1 C speakers are an impressively flexible proposition. If you’re looking for a fun music system that also sounds hugely capable in hi-fi terms, and that you don’t have to pay over a grand for, this system is worth your attention. And that’s the best recommendation we can give to someone looking for a neat, elegant system that does it (nearly) all. Like the very best kit, we want to keep on listening to the Triangle AIO Twin. The sound quality when streaming through wi-fi is far superior. While the peppy character remains the same, it doesn’t sound as clear, precise or expressive compared with the other inputs. It’s only with the built-in phono stage does it falter. It organises the complicated strands of instruments and noises with confidence, and it's balanced across the frequencies: taut bass, clear voices and sparkling, clean treble that’s punchy but never bright. But there is also a mature sense of composure running through its veins that is really impressive. It’s an enthusiastic performer, happy to tackle any music genre and recording quality, and simply wants you to enjoy the music being played. This system is incredibly fun to listen to. Other physical connections include a digital optical input, an RCA analogue pair, a 3.5mm aux input, USB-A for charging your phone, and a subwoofer output. That's a pretty broad spectrum for its asking price. High-resolution audio support goes up to 24-bit/192kHz. It can also be a soundbar alternative for your TV.Īll the major streaming services are supported – Spotify, Tidal, Deezer, Amazon Music, Qobuz – and you can also play internet radio using the excellent app. This system can play just about anything, from Bluetooth streams from your phone to music files stored on your home network (wired ethernet and wi-fi) to even your vinyl records thanks to a built-in phono stage. The Triangle AIO Twin may look like a pair of ‘normal’ speakers, but this is a fully-fledged, all-in-one versatile music system – akin to the superb KEF LSX II – but at half the price (£699 / $1000 / AU$1099). As with everything, streaming implementation costs and can affect the engineering of a product, so get a speaker with it included only if you intend to use the feature. Which active speaker you choose should really be based on how much source integration you require. ![]() Some active speakers like the Dali speakers below are just that and require sources to be connected to them many, though, now have Bluetooth and even network streaming integrated, essentially making them all-in-one systems – such as the KEF LS systems below. ![]() That means the components can be optimised for precision rather than pure power handling, resulting in a potentially better integrated, more precise sound. These models are fed by an 'active' powered crossover that works at a much lower voltage than their passive cousins. So, a two-way speaker with one tweeter and one mid/bass driver unit will have two power amplifier modules, one for each driver (or 'way'). These have amplifiers built in as well, but this time they have one amp dedicated for each 'way'. These are referred to as 'powered' and this method is represented by most of the more affordable products on this list – such as Elac, Ruark Audio and Q Acoustics. There are also speakers that are passive in nature but still have an amplifier built in – often squirrelled away into one of the two boxes.

![]() The camera boasts high-performance imaging pipeline that runs on GP2 processor and HyperSmooth 4.0 technology. There is also a bundle with Bones and a one-year GoPro subscription for $399.99.GoPro, Inc. ![]() GoPro sells Bones for $499.99 to non-subscribers, but you can get it for less if you pay for an annual GoPro subscription-$349.99. The camera is available today and is bundled with the Player + ReelSteady app. The ultralight Bones is likely to be used for other types of projects and videos too. The Hero10 Black Bones isn't a drone, but it's a sign that, despite the well-publicized struggles with Karma, GoPro is paying attention to creators using its cameras for FPV drone videos. It also includes reframing tools for owners of the GoPro Max 360-degree camera, and basic trim, frame grab, and batch export tools. This lets pilots film with the widest view available and remove barrel distortion in post. Player + ReelSteady leverages the same gyroscope data as HyperSmooth to steady video, and can also remove lens distortions from video. ![]() The Hero10 Black Bones (right) has a slimmer profile than the Hero10 Black (left). It's including a license for its Player + ReelSteady Go desktop stabilization software with Bones if you own a different GoPro you can add the software for $99 if it's useful for your video work. GoPro's solution for FPV pilots is stabilization after the fact, not in-camera. A stabilized feed can make for mid-air accidents.īut nobody wants to publish a shaky drone video. These aircraft are made to navigate through tight spaces, and a digitally stabilized view means the camera view doesn't match perfectly with a drone's flight path. But FPV drone pilots don't want a stabilized feed when flying. The Hero10 Black has the best digital stabilization we've seen in an action camera, HyperSmooth. ![]() The Bones omits an in-camera GPS, but its internals are the same otherwise. You can read our Hero10 Black review for a full account of its performance. Because of its battery-free design, I've not been able to turn the Bones on to try it out, but inside it promises to have all of the same features as the Hero10 Black-5.3K video capture at up to 60fps, 120fps 4K slow-motion, 20MP stills, and Hyperlapse. GoPro sent us a Hero10 Black Bones to test, but we weren't able to secure an FPV drone to use with it ahead of the announcement. GoPro cautions pilots to take the weight of the Max Lens into account it's front-heavy compared with Bones, to keep your FPV drone balanced. The lens cover is removable, so drone pilots can add neutral density filters for daytime flights, or opt to add the ultra-wide Max Lens mod for an extreme perspective. Bones includes a memory card slot for microSDXC media. Media is saved on microSDXC cards, there's a small card slot on the side of the camera. You'll need a Torx T9 screwdriver to attach it-this is a camera for folks who own a toolbox. Mounting clips are included for GoPro accessories, and is an adjustable clip. You can use the on-camera controls, or connect to the GoPro smartphone app. There are two control buttons on the back, Record and Mode. There's not much else going on with the camera itself. The Bones works with the batteries most commonly used in FPV-it supports 26-6S batteries with a voltage range of 5-27VDC. It draws power instead from a DC power connection a three-wire cable is included to connect to an FPV drone-you'll need to be comfortable with a soldering iron for installation. And, to really let you know this one is just for drones, the Bones doesn't have a battery. To make weight, the Bones removes many features we think of as necessary for a camera-the rear screen is gone, a throwback to older GoPros that didn't include a screen at all, and the Bones is not waterproof or ruggedized. You'll need to be comfortable with a soldering iron to connect the Bones' power cord to your FPV drone. Bones weighs just 54g, a full 99g lighter than the Hero10 Black. The name itself, Bones, is in reference to the trimmed design, not an homage to doctors Leonard McCoy or Temperance Brennan. It includes all of the same imaging and video tools as you find in the Hero10 Black, but in a much lighter, pared-down package. The GoPro Bones is made for these types of drones. These ultralight, handspun drones are the ones behind viral long-take videos that go well beyond what the most famous of famous filmmakers have done with oners-it's not out of hand to compare the head-turning bowling alley video tour or a recent flight through the Tesla Gigafactory with the oner that opens Touch of Evil. A healthy market of hobbyists build and fly do-it-yourself models.

You can go to the achievement page to look at a list of available achievements, what achievements your characters have earned, and who are the top achievements at the achievements site. In the end we created this software with various features with the hope that we can make the game more enjoyable for everyone, even if you don't care about statistics. Over time the goals of the project changed to not only provide session statistics, but enhance everyones game play experience with old school arcade style achievements and graphical overlays based on the real-time statistics that the software monitors. Once we had this data, we wanted to do more. The original purpose of this software was to provide basic real time session stats, so that we could determine how well we did during a gaming session, or how well we do with some load outs and play styles verses others. The 'Revives' count in the API will likely only be updated once every 30 minutes, so do not use this metric to track your session KDR (with revives) in real time. We calculate things this way for a number of reasons, but the primary reason is that for your session it is impossible to obtain revive information in real time, which is how this application is supposed to be used. This also shows you the number of revives you've obtained, which then calculates your team dependence (how dependent you are on your team with revives). That said, if you wish to see what your KDR is with revives, you can click on the 'Miscellaneous' tab in the software. That is, it does not take revives into account with the main stats tracking. ![]() Your Kill/Death records are displayed taking all kills/death to account. Older development versions of the software did not require this, but we realized that in order to provide all the features we wanted (both current, and future), we needed to build a server to provide additional content to the client. Matt Higby (PS2 Creative Director) was nice enough to publicly confirm this for us. We have worked closely with SOE on this, and they have verified that this method will not be seen as a cheat. Optionally, the Recursion Stat Tracker does hook into the game process to inject an overlay to display your stats and achievements. This is no different than any other statistics site, with the exception that it is real time. The client only processes statistical data about your session that is publically available on the Internet. The client only interacts with Sony API servers, and the Recursion Stat Tracker server to generate statistical data. You do not even need to run the software on a machine with PlanetSide installed to track your stats. The with the exception of the overlay, this software does not interact with the game client at all. ![]() It requires 3 arguments, pin number, value (0 to 255) and an optional argument frequency. And also to better understand the concept of PWM Resolution. Arduino analogWrite() function writes analog value (PWM) to a pin. You can use the interactive tool below to test the effect of the duty cycle on the average voltage and LED brightness. We write a 0 to get a 0% duty cycle, 255 to get a 100% duty cycle, and any value in between will have the same mapping. The Arduino’s PWM has a resolution of 8 bits by default, which means the duty cycle can have any value between 0 and 255. That’s why we typically change the duty cycle to control things like LED brightness, DC motor speed, etc. And it directly affects the PWM’s total (average) voltage that most devices respond to. The duty cycle is usually expressed as a percentage ( %) value because it’s a ratio between two-time quantities. The PWM’s duty cycle equation is as follows: It’s a measure of how long the PWM signal stays ON relative to the full PWM’s cycle period. The PWM’s duty cycle is the most important feature that we’re always interested in. And this can be important in a lot of applications because the switching frequency of the PWM can have a huge impact on the Switching Device and/or the Load itself. We control the Arduino PWM frequency using dedicated PWM libraries. Here is how it looks graphically and its mathematical formula. The frequency is measured in Hz and it’s the inverse of the full period time interval. The first of which is the frequency, which is basically a measure of how fast the PWM signal keeps alternating between HIGH and LOW. The PWM signal you’ve seen above captures a few features. And this is typically what we use the PWM output for. And here is a graphical animation that shows you the effect of a PWM signal on an LED’s brightness.Īs you can see, the LED gets brighter as the pulse width (duty cycle) increases, and it gets dimmer as the pulse width decreases. This technique is widely used in embedded systems to control LEDs brightness, motor speed, and other applications. Certain loads like (LEDs, Motors, etc) will respond to the average voltage of the signal which gets higher as the PWM signal’s pulse width is increased. Pulse Width Modulation ( PWM) is a technique for generating a continuous HIGH/LOW alternating digital signal and programmatically controlling its pulse width and frequency.
